For customer service issues do you perfer to speak to an American?

I am looking for a good mileage credit card and would like my customer service agent to be an American, (yes I can tell) also I rather not pay a fee for the card but may consider given what the card offers. If you do not know of any just answer the original question and disregard the details.

For customer service issues do you perfer to speak to an American?student loan

1. I like to have someone who can speak clearly in the language i subscribe to.

2. I expect someone who pronounce well, and be well articulate.

3. I don%26#039;t expect to have someone with bad language skills in customer service.

I understand you - but we have to blame the employer for NOT selecting the best candidates and in most cases Big companies hire anyone to cut costs. Some Large communications companies are opening call centres outside the USA ...so Blame the CORPORATE WORLD FOR NOT HIRING THE BEST CANDIDATE.

I would like to add: That if a company is based in the USA I would like it to hire people who are Amercians. Companies within a specific territory should promote, hire and employ people from its citizenship first !

yes..not some guy named Bob with an Indian accent..|||No, I prefer to speak to someone that can handle my issue, it doesn%26#039;t matter where they are from~|||ok...when u call to get one just ask for an american! and get a card that doesnt have an anual fee good luck|||Yes.|||who cares?|||Yes, I do. It is not a matter of prejudice, I just think Americans are easier for an American to understand.|||yes can%26#039;t understand them otherwise|||Yes. I have actually asked to be transferred to a %26quot;person whose 1st language is English%26quot; because I couldn%26#039;t understand the poor guy. Hope I didn%26#039;t hurt his feelings.|||Yes, I prefer to speak to American CSRs. It may sound bad but its a preference. Its difficult to distinguish accents over the phone sometimes. I know being bilingual is a plus in that line of work but it just annoys me most often.|||I do, and I hope that does not make me a bad person.

I just have problems understanding people with accents. I had to do banking one time and this guy%26#039;s accent was so thick I had to keep asking him to repeat himself. It was probably just as stressful to him. So it less stressful if I can have an American, at least for the important business dealings.

Sorry|||I always prefer to speak to an american. I dont think thats gonna happen anymore because whenever you call you get a foreign answer. One time I called aol because I had some problems with the internet and when they answered the phone I got a %26quot;how can I help you today mate?%26quot; I didnt call australia, I called the U.S. of A.|||I%26#039;m an Aussie, and nothing frustrates me more than ringing a customer service line, to find it being transferred to a call centre in India. No offence to these people, but if I say NO I generally mean NO and would you please listen carefully to the question put to you. As for unsolicited calls coming in - please don%26#039;t be offended if I don%26#039;t want your service, free phone, or to answer your survey - I really just don%26#039;t have the time...|||I do actually prefer them to speak english and speak it relatively well...there%26#039;s nothing more irritating then not understanding a word the person says and before you know it....you%26#039;ve signed yourself up for a lifetime of some service you don%26#039;t know anything about and have bought a boat....|||I prefer English speaking, yes. If I can%26#039;t understand them...or they can%26#039;t understand me...I know I%26#039;m not coming out the other side with a good deal!

It%26#039;s hard to say where you will find one every time...but first, check where the credit card is based out of, then go from there. Do most of your detail and rate shopping online. If you get someone with a thick accent who sounds like a %26quot;scripter%26quot; pre-programmed with basic responses...ask for someone else or hang up and call again. However, a lot of companies are outsourcing their call centers to other countries...hence the problem. Good luck!|||Mostly definitely...Especially if I am paying to have their card I want to be able to understand the person that I am calling for customer service and not have to repeat myself or try to interpret what they are trying to tell me in their version of English.|||I don%26#039;t know how a person could recommend a company to you and guarantee that the the customer service rep who answers your call is American. But to answer your question, I really don%26#039;t care what their nation of origin is, as long as they are not an idiot. I have had too many experiences with customer service reps that couldn%26#039;t figure out what my question was, no matter how simply it was stated, or were incapable of giving a cohesive anser that actually matched the question. I have had waaaaay too many conversations that consisted of me repeating my question while they gave me useless information, then asked about 10 minutes in, %26quot;What was your question again?%26quot; And it doesn%26#039;t seem to matter what country they are from, idiots come from all over the world.|||American or someone who can speak proper english..If you have an account with a bank, checking or savings, they usually can give you a great card that will fit your lifestyle.|||I prefer talking to somebody who isn%26#039;t American. Many American customer service representatives are rude or act like you%26#039;re bothering them by asking them to do their job. Also... it%26#039;s fun to talk to somebody outside of the country. Where is everybody else%26#039;s sense of adventure? In America we need to get used to talking to and learning to understand people with foreign accents. There are a lot of first generation immigrants here who still have the accents of their country of origin. It%26#039;s not hard if you%26#039;re patient.

I have a 642 credit score, where can i get a business loan?

I have the opportunity to purchase a restaurant for a great price. Current owners have to sell now due to health. I have a credit score of 642 due to high balanced credit cards. All debts are current, no foreclosures. Credit cards used for need not pleasure. I%26#039;m having a problem getting a loan. Current owners have kept terrible records so the one company that was considering me, backed out. I have been in the business for 15 years and my fiance for 25 years. I need 45K to purchase and 15K for working capitol. Business is located in downtown area near plenty of businesses and government buildings. I can not offer home equity or a large down payment. I am currently working three jobs to raise money but owners are working hard to sell. I don%26#039;t want to loose this opportunity.

Looking for someone to take a chance on me.

Any suggestions?

Having just opened a restaurant myself I think it%26#039;s best to look a some type of federal grant for small business ,or if you belong to a credit union they are always helpful with loans or maybe a smaller bank . also you can liquidate some of they owners things like stuff that you want be using or needs to upgrade, but if you have about $250 dollars to spare you can hire a grant writer to help you get money . and your credit score is pretty fair!!

How do i actually do this, what are the steps require?

I heard that by having someone add your name onto their credit card, then never use it then you will start to get offers for credit cards, and you will have the same credit history that the person has. And it is all legal. But get someone who trust you, that has good credit.

How do i actually do this, what are the steps require?mortgage loan

Yes you can do that. I wouldn%26#039;t recommend being added as a %26quot;joint%26quot; on the account though. What you are talking about is being an authorized user.

If you are added as a joint user, you will be held liable for any charges the primary user racks up, if something should happen to the primary user. As an authorized user, you will not be held liable.

When the person who adds you to their card calls the credit card company to add you, have them request that the account be reported on your credit reports. It may take a few months before it starts to report. If you don%26#039;t see it being reported by the 3rd month, call the credit card company again and request they report.

Be sure that the cards you are added to have a great history and low utilization. Whatever history and utilization that card has will report the same on your credit reports.

Once it starts reporting, then try to get your own cards.

Try to get a good balance of major credit cards, store cards and personal loans.

Once you do that, and keep current, you should have an excellent score. (that is if you don%26#039;t have any negatives reporting now)

don%26#039;t believe it%26#039;s possible. in order to secure new cards from anyone, you need to provide YOUR social security number. You could use their SSN but then it would be identity theft and therefore not legal. if this was possible then everyone would be doing it. but you would never have the same credit as the person who allowed you to be added to their credit. just wouldn%26#039;t work.|||As a matter of fact YOU CAN do it. That is how many parents create a credit history for their kids.

The person with GOOD credit adds you as a co-borrower when applying and this will show as a joint account in both persons report. You will no have ALL the same credit history but you will have the same credit history on that account. This will help you in gettin a good fico score.

If you apply for a card on your own they will see that even though its a joing account is is in good condition.

You can definitely try this method BUT there has to be trust and of course a good credit behind it.

If you are just getting started you could also obtain a secured credit card from your local bank or a store credit card. After a few months you will be able to get a normal credit card on your own.|||Not only is it possible, but it is done widely. Just choose wisely.|||This is not true...at least partually

Yes you will start getting credit card offers but if you have no credit history or really bad one you will be declined anyway

You will not get hte same creadit history as the other person that is the lie part

I%26#039;m afraid Microsoft requires a credit card number and there is no way around it. The service is pretty cool, I use it ! http://www.userfriendlypcrepair.com|||I think the reason they want your payment information is to either verify that you are legit, and not just registering sites for fraudulent reasons, or, they want they want your credit card information because the service is only going to be free for a limited time before they start charging a monthly recurring charge for their service.

Credit cards:Interest on Life of Balance transfers?

I applied for a Barclaycard, as it had an offer of 5.9% for the life of balance transfers. Having spoken to customer services there, with the intention of transferring a balance from another card, they told me that the 5.9% offer meant that the interest would be charged on the full amount I transfer, until it is all paid off, even if I have paid some off. So if I transfer 锟?000, and pay off 锟?00 after a month, I am being charged interest on 锟?000 still, rather than 锟?00. Have I understood this correctly, and is this usual practice?

Thanks

John

Credit cards:Interest on Life of Balance transfers?unsecured loan

That might be the case but you%26#039;re right, it sounds a little off. The understanding I have for %26quot;life of the balance%26quot; transfers is probably what you thought initially -

the rate of 5.9% won%26#039;t be raised or lowered for the amount you transferred. Now, if you make additional purchases the rate may be different but never for the balance transfer.

call them back and/or read the fine print.

Credit cards:Interest on Life of Balance transfers?

loan

Not usual. Are you certain that you understood that correctly?

Often your scenario means that the transfer would be subject to 5.9 % interest until it was paid, not subject to change, up or down.

Bear in mind the %26quot;catch%26quot; in these.

If you make any additional new charges, which no doubt carries a higher interest rate on the card, your payments will FIRST be applied to the transfer, at the lower interest rate.

This means that for however long it takes to pay off the transfer, any new charges will just sit there accumulating the higher interest rate, compounded. No amount will be applied to those charges until the transfer is paid off.

Getting rid of junk mail?

I get so much junk mail and I never sign up for anything. I rarely ever give my address out and if I do it is to a important company. I get offers for credit cards and advo and all kinds of crap is there anyway I can have this stop or at least get like half of the junk mail. The credit card ones scare me because I get so many of them sometimes I don%26#039;t rip them up and I don%26#039;t want identity theft to happen to me.

Getting rid of junk mail?student loan consolidation

On of the best things that I did is to %26quot;opt out%26quot;. This greatly reduced my junk mail. I don%26#039;t get %26quot;you%26#039;ve been approved%26quot; offers any more.

When you opt out - you prevent these agencies from getting any of your credit info. Since they have no idea what kind of credit you have -- they don%26#039;t pre-approve you for a bunch of junk you don%26#039;t want.

It also does not cost you anything to opt out.

Here%26#039;s a link to the Federal Trade Commission for information.

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/cred...

Getting rid of junk mail?

loan

Yes.

1. Change your address to a mail drop like postnet or UPS store.

2. Change your address directly with the companies and individuals you want to have your new address. Do NOT place a forwarding address registration with your post office.

3. Don%26#039;t accept mail at your house anymore, and tell your postman to send back any mail that comes to your house.

4. Change your ID to reflect the new address too.

5. Never give your home address to anyone.

Most junk mail is screened for residences. Junk mailers don%26#039;t want to mail to a box, so they will eliminate you from their lists.

Best also if the box is in a different zip code if possible, than your house. Nobody needs to know where you sleep to do business with you.

On utility bills, tell them you have a new mailing address and need it on the bills too. The bills will show that address and the service address, which is useful if you need to show a utility bill for proof of address to a school, etc.|||Usually junk mail comes with SAEs for you to return your %26#039;application%26#039;. The company that sends them out has to pay for any items that are sent back. Rather than filling in the application, just tear it in half and put it in the envelope. Or, if you feel really vindictive, fill it in with fictitious details or rub it in the remains of last night%26#039;s smelly curry. The company will then have to pay for the postage and their staff will all be quitting, disgusted by the contents of the mail. If enough people do this sort of thing, it can severely affect the junk mail company%26#039;s profits or even put them out of business.

I make good money, but am plagued with bad credit and I don%26#039;t own a home, though that is a future goal. I desire a loan to pay bills and finance home businesses. Previously I%26#039;ve been caught in the payday loan trap and borrowed against my retirement. These sources have only helped briefly and basically I need a larger amount ($10,000-15,000 USD) with an interest rate of 18% or less that%26#039;ll allow me to consolidate/payoff high interest credit cards/loans and buy some much needed equipment for my home businesses. This is not an answer, but an observation. I paid money to a company that was going to help me get a grant. I recently learned that I and many others were scammed. We all paid a fee for that service. Needless to say, I am skeptical. On to the observation. Almost all of these answers posted here are questionable to me. Look at each answer and you be the judge. Lending money is very risky business. Why do companies hire people who have such terrible spelling. And, in observation, there is a box above this section that I can check to have my spelling checked. I don%26#039;t understand this. I am very skeptical of each one of these answers. I will not email them and give them my personal information, such as soc. sec. #. You should think twice also.
