I am planning on buying a Dodge truck soon that offers $5000 "bonus cash"?...?

I am wondering if I can have them mail me a check for that amount instead of having them apply it to the purchase of the truck? I want to use the $5000 to pay off a 22.9% interest credit card that has a balance close to that amount. I think it would be better use of the money than applying it to the 4.9% loan my bank gave me for the truck.

Thanks!

If your bank will loan you %26quot;X%26quot; dollars on the truck, and will give you a check for %26quot;X%26quot; dollars, you can have any rebate (cash back) returned to you without any problem. It is not up to the dealer, the customer has the right to apply the rebate to the down payment or to have it sent to them in a check!

Most people choose to have the rebate assigned to the dealership, so that they do not have to wait 4-8 weeks for the rebate to be processed, but it is your choice!

I would love to sell you a vehicle, but I am not a franchised Dodge dealer! I own my own wholesale dealership, selling to other dealers, mostly at auctions! I sold retail for years, and this is less stressful. I do miss the reasonable customers, but not the know it alls! Report It

|||Before you purchase this or any truck, please check Consumer Reports. I read a short time ago that the Dodge was one of several that have been overpriced from $4,000 to $6,000. I don%26#039;t think this purchase will help you. And yes, you can elect to receive the cash instead of the discount.|||In most cases, yes. The decision is up to the dealer, but dealers can sign rebates to the consumer. Normally there%26#039;s something like a %26quot;dealer retains all rebates%26quot; clause in the purchase contract; you can simply ask them to take this clause out. Most things in a dealer contract are negotiable, even things the dealer will at first claim are not.

While that would save you a bit of a chunk of money, I suspect the math would work out even better if you bought a slightly used truck instead: The truck%26#039;s likely to lose $5,000 in value when you drive it off the lot.|||I understand what you are saying and if you want a Dodge truck go for it and instead of taking the money if they allow it just get another credit card with a lower interest rate and transfer it, they are always looking for new business that way.

How should I pay off my 2 credit cards?

I want to focus on paying off these 2 cards before I start a business. I can pay a good amount monthly should I pay one off heavily and than the other or both equally. Both have about 14% interest rates, and I have 0% offers galore. Thanks

How should I pay off my 2 credit cards?

transfer the balances to ones that charge 0%. then pay those down as fast as you can before the teaser rate expires.

How should I pay off my 2 credit cards? loan

If you have great credit, you should take a 0% offer and transfer both balances, then pay one lump sum every month. However, keep those old accounts open for the HISTORY factor on your credit.

If you dont have good credit dont open a new account-- instead, focus as much money towards the smaller balance first, and a slightly-more-than-minimum payment on the other. Then when the first is paid off, put ALL that extra money towards the second one.|||Stop spending and start paying.|||Balance transfers may save you the most money. If you are leery of opening new accounts, then there are strategies you can take where you use a combination of accelerated repayment and interest rate negotiation to get them paid off faster.|||Skip

- I have been through this before...here is what you need to do.

Step 1 - Get a zero percent interest rate card and transfer as much as you can to them.

Step 2 - Any balance that is left over at 14%, call them and tell them that you are going to transfer the balance and close the card. At best, they should lower the rate. If they dont give you a zero rate, move onto step 2a.

Step 2a - I am hoping that atleast ONE of the cards at 14% can be cleared up completely with the zero balance card. Call them, and tell them you want a zero balance offer, for any transfers that you give them, or you will cancel the card. If they dont give you that, cancel it.

***Someone else mentioned that you should keep your card open for your credit report. That is a good point, but it may not apply to you. You need to figure out the TOTAL amount that you have available on all credit. If you have too much available, that could impact your ability to obtain a business loan.

Step 3 - Now you have two cards, one with a zero balance one with maybe zero but less than 14%. Pay off the one that has a balance greater than zero as quickly as possible. Pay a little bit more than the minimum on the other card

If they are both at zero, focus on the card that has the greater percentage of the available balance used up.

Good Luck - And stay the course! It will be hard work, but worth it.|||what you need to do is pay off the one with the higher balance first....once you go over 45% of your available credit your score takes a hit and seeing how you are starting a business you will need the highest score you can get.......once you get one card below the 45% balance get the other one there then from there work on paying off the one with the highest interest then the next.....do not transfer anything and do not open any new account weather it is 0% interest or not you will kill your credit score....when you open up a new account it will go against you for the first 6 months and 1 day before the postive payments flood into your report and most cards that do balance transfers have limits on them that are not much higher then you transfered so you will get a double hit for a new card and having it almost maxed out at the begining..if you have any more questions feel free to email me at becca9892003@yahoo.com.

Has anyone out here ever heard of first bank of delaware?

im just wondering if they offer a credit card?

Has anyone out here ever heard of first bank of delaware?

They do offer credit cards, like Imagine, but they are extremely sub prime.

Their cards come loaded with high nonrefundable fees

You would be better off letting that money work for you by getting a secured card if you don%26#039;t qualify for an unsecured.

At least your money will still be there.

You might check with Bank of America, Orchard or HSBC

Roger's Revenge !!!!?

Roger, a successful businessman, flew to Las Vegas for the weekend to gamble. He lost the shirt off his back, and had nothing left but a quarter and the second half of his round trip ticket. If he could just get himself to the airport, he could get himself home.

So he went out to the front of the casino where there was a cab waiting. he got in and explained his situation to the cabbie. Roger promised to send the driver money from home; he offered his credit card numbers, his driver%26#039;s license number, his address, etc., but to no avail. the cabbie said, %26quot;If you don%26#039;t have fifteen dollars, get the hell out of my cab!%26quot;

So Roger was forces to hitchhike to the airport and was barely in time to catch his flight.

One year later, Roger, having worked long and hard to regain his financial status, returned to Las Vegas and this time he won big. Feeling pretty good, he went out to the front of the casino to get a cab ride to the airport. Well, who should he see out there, at the end of a long line of cabs, but his old buddy who had refused to give him a ride when he was down on his luck. Roger thought for a moment about how he could make the guy pay for his lack of charity, and hit on a plan.

Roger got in the first cab in the line, %26quot;How much for a ride to the airport?%26quot; %26quot;Fifteen bucks,%26quot; came the reply. %26quot;And how much for you to give me oral sex on the way?%26quot; %26quot;What?!! Get the hell out of my cab!%26quot; Roger got into the back of each cab in the long line and asked the same questions, with the same results.

When he got to his old friend at the back of the line, he got in and asked, %26quot;How much for a ride to the airport?%26quot;

The cabbie replied, %26quot;Fifteen bucks.%26quot; Roger said, %26quot;OK.%26quot; And off they went. Then, as they drove slowly past the long line of cabs, Roger gave a big smile and thumbs up sign to each driver.

Good or bad idea?

if i am offered a credit card with 0% interest would it be a good idea to take the full amount and put it into a cd?

Good or bad idea?

well, there is likely a cash advance fee, so you would have to watch out for that. Look it over and add up to the total cost of the cash advance fee, any annual fee, and other such things, and compare it to the interest you would make on the CD. Also remember that you would still have to make minimum payments on the card even though there is 0% interest.

Good or bad idea? loan

No way! The money you use on a credit card is just like A LOAN. You have to pay it back, or it looks bad on your credit report. I bet if you read all of the fine print you would find out that the 0% interest is only for a short time period, like 3 to 6 months, and after that jumps to some huge, outrageous amount like 19.9%. If you were to take the credit card sum and put it into a cd that%26#039;s for a set amount of time for the average interest of 3.5 - 4.5%, you wouldn%26#039;t even make enough to pay back your bill!|||I don鈥檛 know which card you mean but I bet that if you read it in full it will sound like: 0% Interest ON PURCHASES! What you鈥檙e asking sounds to me like you鈥檙e suggesting take the full amount in CASH: that will be a very different history concerning interest.|||If you are not planning on trying to obtain credit in the future and the interest rate is absolutely not going to increase, I would say it%26#039;s ok, but probably not a good idea.

A big part of your credit score is your UTILIZATION. If your limit is $1000 and you use $1000, your utilization is 100%. This looks very bad if you%26#039;re looking for a loan or more credit in the future. It appears that you are in dire straits and are maxing out your cards.

A better idea might be to take your actual cash and put it into a high-interest checking or savings. Many internet accounts through reputable banks offer rates that are competetive with CD rates.|||I am not sure why you mention to put a credit card available in a CD account? Beside even if you use the %26quot;convenience check%26quot; to deposit to a CD account, why do you want to borrow money to put in a CD account? As personal finance, is you don%26#039;t want to borrow money not even for emergency. So you think you can make a tiny little bit of interest from this deposit? Do you own any debit at all? If so, you need to try to pay those off FIRST and not to charge any more to any credit card. the only good use of the zero interest rate credit card is to help you pay off your other high interest rate credit card debits. And make sure you can pay it off WITHIN THE INTRODUCTORY RATE PERIOD.

The best way to save money is from your hard earn money, so work on your budget and set aside money to put in savings account, and when the balance meets the minimum requirement on a good CD (high interest rate), then move the money over there.|||no!!!

Everytime I try to order an Xbox 360, I have completed registracion but...?

Okay guys I%26#039;m trying to get a free Xbox 360 online, BUT, they%26#039;re making me register for the advertizing commercialied prizes as well, other offers require credit cards, I don%26#039;t want these other prizes cause I definetly cannot drive and only 17 years old, is there any site where I can receive a free Xbox 360 without all this ****!?

Everytime I try to order an Xbox 360, I have completed registracion but...?

Nope, they say they%26#039;ll give you a free xbox because you have to sign up with one of thier offers. Its a scam basically. There is no legitimate way to get a free xbox or anything else that I am aware of.

Everytime I try to order an Xbox 360, I have completed registracion but...? loan

I tried it with a PSP. I never really got much to show for any of it. (I guess after being on some Conga Line for 2 years I finally got something like $280)

Its not really free! You have to offers (which some are free, and some you have to make sure you cancel before the end o your pay).

You can%26#039;t get a free Xbox 360. Get a job! Do a paper Route and earn money for a 360!

Is there any way to get a free PSP without registering, completing offers or reffering to friends?

Without joining pyramid scheme website and also without giving away your credit card number?

Is there any way to get a free PSP without registering, completing offers or reffering to friends?

None. If you don%26#039;t register, how will they know where to send your free PSP? Believe me man, the only thing that%26#039;s free nowadays without registering is the air that you breath.
